Device Uplifting and Navigation Group

For our senior capstone project, we built a fully autonomous swarm robotic system designed to lift an airplane from each wheel and maneuver it around an airport. This system would address multiple issues present in the world of aviation, such as optimal packing, efficient movement, decreased congestion, and any difficulties that pilots may face when trying to move their planes themselves.

The final product consisted of three scaled robots that would be able to use computer vision and feedback control to work their way around a hangar, attach to the plane's legs, coordinate their lifting, and move a plane holonomically in 2D.

This project was awarded the Best Project in Automation for the 2024 Senior Capstone Project cycle at Boston University,
